Welcome to Starmaker Fireworks

Since the Spanish period, fireworks have been an integral part of the Philippine culture and tradition. Fiestas and other celebrations were always capped with a fireworks display.

Further development of the Filipinos' appreciation for fireworks bloomed in the American period. This was when Filipinos learned to manufacture more advanced firecrackers and fireworks.

In 1972, the declaration of Proclamation No. 1081 also known as Martial Law affected all fireworks manufacturers in the Philippines. All explosives were banned; fireworks production was on a stand-still. For 20 years, the fireworks industry was forced to go underground.

When the Republic Act 7183 was passed and approved in 1992, manufacturing fireworks was once again legalized. However, importation of fireworks were completely banned. This was to ensure protection for the local fireworks manufacturers.
